A Message from the Managing Secretary
If you are a member and any of the following applies to you could you please complete a new members form adding your membership number
Does the Society know your correct address? is your Nominee who you want it to be?
Does the Society have your correct name? has it changed due to marriage / deed poll etc?
Do you have a Bankers’ Order payable to the Society, if so, is it for the correct amount?
Have you received the ‘NER’ this year?
Subscriptions are now £10 per year.
They are set to increase to £20 in April 2009. There will be an increase in the benifits above the rate of this increase.
Many members are still paying £3 or £5, and some (mainly ex-allotments) are not paying at all
According to the Rule Book, anyone who owes more than £10 is excluded from Benefits, but if I can’t contact them I can’t tell them they are excluded. Then again I can’t pay out any Benefit to them either! (See note at bottom of page if applicable.)
Some former members are continuing to pay after resignation, (and even after death!). Please keep your Bank and your Nominee informed, as well as the Society, (use the application form to update / confirm your details to me, e.g. Nominee / Relationship / Address(es) / Bank Account details).
After 45 yrs (correct) payments you gain ‘free life membership’ but I still need an address! |
